Terms of Service

The short version: use Earnd as intended, we'll keep it running honestly, and neither of us will be surprised by what's here.

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Earnd (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Earnd is an iOS application that uses Apple's Screen Time and HealthKit frameworks to restrict access to apps you designate until you meet activity goals you set. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Earnd is offered on a subscription basis, billed through the Apple App Store. A free trial may be offered at the time of sign-up; if you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel at any time via Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone.

5. Acceptable use

  • Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app.
  • Do not use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others.
  • Do not attempt to interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service.

6. Health and safety disclaimer

Earnd is not a medical device. The activity goals you set are not medical advice. Consult a qualified professional before beginning any new exercise program, and stop any activity that causes pain or discomfort. Earnd is not a substitute for professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

7. Intellectual property

All content, trademarks, and code associated with Earnd are the property of Earnd or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Earnd and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app and canceling your subscription.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
